Marriage Licenses

Requirements: Both parties must be present and must be 18 years of age or older.

Proof of age: Driver's license, birth certificate, passport, state issued I.D., etc.

Age 16-17: Parent or legal guardian must be present for consent and will need to provide clerk with their driver's license or identification.

Under 16: Marriage is prohibited except by Court order.

Blood tests are no longer required in Oklahoma.

Waiting Period - No waiting except for those under 18 years of age. Waiting period for those under 18 is 72 hours and cannot be waived.

Fees: CASH ONLY - $50.00 license fee, $5.00 if premarital counseling is completed. The reduced fee applies if you present an original certificate of successful completion of a premarital counseling program. The program must have been conducted by a health professional or an official representative of a religious institution as described in 43 O.S. 5.1. For a judge to perform the marriage ceremony the fee is $10.00 also payable to the Court Clerk.

License must be delivered to the clergyman or judge within 10 days of issuance.
