Small Claims cases can be filed in Sapulpa as well as the division offices. The Clerk's office furnishes the forms to be filled out by the plaintiff. The cost is $53.00 for an action up to $1,500.00 and $156.00 over $1,500.00 up to $6,000.00 which is the maximum that can be sued for in Small Claims court. A good service address is needed in order for the Small Claims affidavit to be served on the defendant. The forms of service are sheriff, which is $50.00 in county and $60.00 out of county; certified mail, which is S10.00, if done by the clerk's office; and private process server. The clerk's office has a current list of process servers that can be used. |
